Food and wasteAs you all now know, Tokyo produces 40% of the world’s dioxins it is important that they try to stop produce as much pollution. As many ways of waste disposal used there are harmful to the environment we have researched some ways to help stop disposing waste by burning or burying it. We found that over 200 incinerators are used to burn waste and that is quite excessive as there are a couple of other ways to reuse and dispose of waste. The government could start issuing out recycling bins to families so that recyclable materials may be reused in different ways to help save the amount of waste produced. Another way to stop waste production is to compost. By composting you can break down food and biodegradable waste in a natural and healthy way to stop as much environmental harm as possible.
EarthquakesWe know that there are many earthquake problems in Japan, but here are some solutions that we can do. One solution is that we can build a system that is able to detect earthquakes a good amount of time before they happen so that we can help protect the people of Tokyo. Another solution is that we build buildings that is able to withstand the giant earthquakes that happens in Tokyo. The last solution that we can implement is to build bunkers that can withstand the earthquakes and hold as many people in them as possible.

TransportDue to the massive population transport needs to be improved greatly. As many citizens travel through and around the city every single day this is a real issue. Some way transport could be improved is by adding more highways and road so more cars are able to fit on the roads, this will in effect mean less traffic jams and allow the traffic to flow smoothly. Residents should also consider using more eco-friendly cars as it is much better for the environment. Along the highways and road more roads should be added to stop and catch people speeding and running red lights to make Tokyo’s road much safer. As for public transport the prices are extremely over priced. These prices should be lowered so residents feel more inclined to use the transport provided and take more cars off the road. The public transport system should hire more experienced staff in order to better handle malfunctions, accidents and suicides
Living and AccommodationLiving and accommodation is an extremely serious issue in Tokyo. This is because everyone needs some form of shelter or living space. Due to the high prices people are expected to pay, along with the expensive school bills, people are left with little money. In 1998 it was claimed that 3 700 people were left homeless, by 2001 the figure had increased rapidly and left 25 000 people on the street approximately. This issue could be easily fixed by simply decreasing rental prices. For citizens who are financially troubled they could build group houses for a cheaper rent. Houses could be made smaller so that the prices for rent could be much lower and fit more people in. These things in conclusion could keep people off the streets and solve any living and accommodation issues.

Education
If you don’t know this already, the schooling system in Tokyo is not the best. The first solution to these schooling problems are that more schools should be opened so that more kids are able to go to school and the schools that were overcrowded may become less crowded. For the kids that can't use the public transport to get to school on time because it is too expensive the public transport costs should be lowered. Some schools should be run by the government because those schools are low cost, which can allow the poorer people to go to school.
